We Look forward to support for the Athlete – Funding program, from eminent Corporates and Business houses in the country, on a mutually beneficial CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) platform, to initiate a pioneering support to the Olympic movement in India.

As per the new COMPANIES ACT 2013, schedule 7 , wef from 1st April2014, contributions to Non Profit Organisations promoting training in Rural Sports, Nationally recognised sports, Paralympic Sports and Olympic sports are Exempted under the new CSR guideline and under Section 80g of the IT act.

Such support associations for Athletes, can provide an excellent CSR PLATFORM for Corporates and Business Houses to play an active role in Regional/National Integration and using Sports to make a positive impact in Social change in this country.

We endeavor to establish a strong and synergised sponsor relationship with Corporates , Institutions and Sports promotion associations so as to ensure a consistent and streamlined financial support to athletes which would be an Inspiration to them further.

There are 100 talented young athletes who would be trained this year (2014-15), at Mary’s Boxing Academy in Manipur, who have been handpicked and have high potential to represent India at the Olympics , in the future. There is an equal ratio of Male and Female athletes who need funds for training and infrastructure support.

AREAS OF THE SUPPORT REQUIRED

1) Athletes can be sponsored as per the new Companies Act, under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) clause, wherein funding support to such Non Profit Organisations involved in Olympic Sports training is exempted under Tax. wef 1st April 2014.

Annual Training costs per athlete is at Rs.3 lacs including all fixed and variable expenses. (Details as in the attached presentation).

Companies can adopt and fund one or more athletes as per their CSR budgets.

2) Athletes can also be sponsored under a payroll contribution scheme by individual employees of the organisation, which would be exempt under section 80 g of the IT act.

3) Athletes can also be invited by Corporates to their premises and have interactive sessions with their employees on their goals, achievements and SPORTS in India.
